Van Belkum Transcription Services (VTS) was founded in 1998. VTS's sister companies have lived in the voice, data and telecommunication worlds for decades as a user and a provider of services. VTS, Van Belkum Voice & Data, and BizGroup are part of the Van Belkum Companies privately owned family businesses with headquarters in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

Van Belkum has been helping customers in the dictation and transcription industry since 1959. Nick Van Belkum and partner Ken Faulkner, started this business with the philosophy of providing high quality service,a philosophy that continues to this day.

VTS was established in response to the requests from Van Belkum Voice and Data customers pleading for help finding qualified medical transcriptionists and the need for technology that would allow these professionals to work from home. Van Belkum combined the technology and intellectual property from our Voice and Data business, our Internet Service Provider and our consulting business to create a solution for the customer's medical transcription needs.

Our philosophy centers around a service that helps our customers. We continue to evaluate the customer's needs, striving to make ourselves a more valuable, part of a customer's team.
